About Steve 

Steve Vamos has more than thirty years experience in the Information Technology and on line Media industry and has lived and worked in Australia, the USA and Asia. His celebrated career includes CEO of Microsoft Australia & NZ and VP and Managing Director of Apple Computer Asia Pacific

Steve serves as a non-executive Director of Telstra (appointed September 2009) and Fletcher Building Limited (appointed July 2015). Steve also serves as a non-executive Director and advisor to a number of organisations that span start-ups and larger established organisations.

Passionate about leadership and change, Steve truly believes that the technology available today has amplified the potential of people. Technology is not the disruptor, people are.

One day technology may be able to create, but it's important to realise it is people who are disrupting and innovating.

Steve wants leaders to recognise the value we have is in people, and help leaders do everything they can to enable people to innovate and become more creative.


Steve has twice been included in the Australian Financial Review’s top five listing of the most influential members of the Australian technology industry.  

Steve helps Organisations work to their potential by providing Business Advisory Services and thought leadership.

Steve is an advocate for Conscious Capitalism and was the founder and President of the Society for Knowledge Economics (SKE), a not for profit think-tank that operated from 2005 to 2014. SKE aimed to encourage and promote new and better leadership and management practices, which would enable innovation, productivity and sustainability.

Steve is currently in the process of writing his first book.
