It’s key to invest in people, rather than directly in technology, because it was people who created and who came up with the innovations that fuelled the growth in the technology sector.
Technology is not the disruptor, people are, and tech is not the innovator, people are. One day technology may be able to create, but it's important to realise it is people who are disrupting and innovating.
We need leadership in terms of innovation to encourage people to take risks and to create new businesses and new industries. Let's make sure our leaders recognise the value we have is in people. Leaders need to do everything they can to enable people to innovate and become more creative.
